Does anyone else still come here daily in hopes of a post?

I don't even collect anymore but this is the only "community" I've ever been a part of. Now it feels like a broken family. Hopefully something will happen soon to revive it.

I know man I love this place , I check regularly to see if something has been posted
I’m not sure the site gets enough visits from non members to spark a revival but that would be awesome

Yeah. Collecting shit seems to be a thing of the past. Jobs aren't paying enough and the bare essentials are more expensive than they've ever been. Hopefully shit will get easier with time and people can go back to doing fun stuff and wasting money.

Yeah, I don’t have money to throw away at dozens of $200 1000 Hours variants. But I do still collect! And I visit here like once a month just to check in. Greendaycommunity is still alive and active, maybe we would benefit from starting a collector’s thread over there? We’d get to influence new people, and keep collecting alive. Just an idea!

It's pretty dead I guess. I've also given up on updating the website. No time to do it and no money to collect. I got a house and kids now so other priorities. I did preorder the Turn it around 2LP + 2 cassettes. Anyone else buying it?

No I didn’t grab it , do you know what Green Day songs are on the compilation , it mentions unreleased songs but I couldn’t find the track list with them included

There are three colors for the LP: Blue, yellow, and clear, which is exclusive to band members on the comp, volunteers at 1234 Go, and it will be a contest prize.
The unreleased track is a Sweet Children demo from 1989. Then there’s the Kerplunk version of Welcome to Paradise too. I’ve heard the demo, it’s pretty good. It will be online in a day or two at this point. Some people already have the album.

I haven't been collecting much of anything for years either. I don't even really remember where I was at with my collection and even what some of the stuff is anymore! Most of it is sat in boxes since we lost the house but what I have been able to find I'm starting to post on an Instagram bit by bit. If anyone is interested it's basketcase4933

I've come in and out of collecting over the years... since I'm checking back here, you can probably guess which phase I'm in now. The memories and nostalgia associated with it all will always keep me coming back. Thankfully, I've always had a particular goal in mind for collecting instead of just needlessly amassing, and I'm happy that I'm close to my goals. Obviously the big rarities like Prosthetic Head are on there, but seeing a complete run of American Idiot singles is really satisfying to reflect on.
