Just as a random discussion, anyone on here met any of the guys?
I came so close back in june, (still pretty pissed about it though).
Me and my mate travelled about 5hours to see them at Wembley, was an amazing gig. We then waiting til 2.30am, outside in the freezing cold, got chatting to there head of security who was a pretty awesome guy really nice about it and tried everything he could to get us to meet them. Anyway, 2.30 arrrives and the van comes out of the inner car park and they just waved through the window. Which i thought was a bit harsh considering it was just us and 2other girls and the security guy said they didnt meet anyone night before because there was nearly 50people waiting.
What are your experiences with meeting them?

yeah. i met all of them im 2001 and i met tre again on the first leg of the US 21st century breakdown tour in Florida.
in 01 it was easy... we just waited several hours by the tour bus after the show... it was cold but well worth it.. they were all cool guys.. willing to take pics and sign whatever you handed them.. since then its been a lot harder to meet them.. in most cases its damn near impossible to find their tour bus.
i lucked out meeting tre again... but it was kinda lame the way it worked out... he came out to sign our stuff just so that BJ and mike's bus could sneak out without being noticed. but oh well...
maybe theyll be a little easier to meet after a few new albums... but i doubt it.
anyway, those are my experiences.

Thats pretty cool, i tried to meet them a couple years ago and couldnt find their tour bus anywhere considering there was like 7exits and staff very unhelpful.
I dont get why all of a sudden they've become very reluctant to meet fans when they used to always preach they will do anything for the fans

I've met them several times over the past 15 years or so. Very nice guys. Always willing to sign whatever I happened to bring with me. The first thing I ever brought wa the sleeve for the Sweet Children EP. Mike nd Billie were very excited to see it.

I met Tre Cool at our hotel in Pittsburgh during the 99 Revolutions Tour. We were only staying in this fancy hotel because we'd got an Expedia Secret Saver Deal cheaper than any of the budget hotels! He was in the lobby as I got out of the lift. I told myself that I'd never forgive myself if I didn't speak to him! When he saw me approaching he joked "Oh no!". I told him that the Gretsch had sounded great in Chicago and he asked me if I'd been at the Rosemont show to which I replied that I had. He then asked me which other shows I was going to and so I told him I'd be at the Pittsburgh and Philly shows. I was really, really nervous and kind of lost my voice a bit. I had no paper or pen so couldn't ask for an autograph. All I had in my pocket was my mobile phone and so I gestured to the phone to mean could I have a photo with him. He said no because of social networking problems, he was sure I understood. He was with some people and I turned imploringly to them as if they might say yes! They told me "that's the rules". I don't even know what I said then because I was so embarrassed and nervous. I think I kind of just walked off. When I went to go back up to the room he was still sat on the sofa in the hotel lobby and grinned at me! It killed me at the time not to disclose where Green Day were staying or which member I'd met but I never told anyone but a couple of really close friends well, until now!

You guys sound like lil' teenie bitches trying to kiss Justin Bieber. You should dig for some pussies in the line up , at a green day concert. Running after band members and wasting so much energy for a piece of signed paper , is totally insane for me . Not the kind of vibe i expect from a punk rock gig . It's people like you who are fuckin' up the atmosphere in those concerts . Probably a generation gap again , into my eyes ,this thread is a fuckin' joke . If you are 12 years old , i forgive you for your stupid dumbass groupie behavior . If you're 30 and still do this , ask yourself some questions . I'm not saying that i'm smarter than you guys , i'm probably a total idiot too , as i'm buying thousand dollards of records and cd's every year , wich is useless and insane too.
I'm sorry i don't want to insult anybody . I just can't understand . So , i'm outta here .
Cheers pals , have fun !

Hey , no grudges motherfuckers , just ignore me , keep saying what you were saying , it was only an opinion , it doesn't kill . There are without a doubt , a few other people with stories to tell , don't be shy ! Okay , have a listen to one of my new cheap ass demos , then tell me it's scrappy bullshit , you can get your revenge on that boring comment ! 2016 is good year for punk rock . Enjoy ! soundcloud.com/user-601226342/the-automatix-2012-demo-diyPeace
