HERE'S ONE TO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR IN THE SALE
The rarest CD in my entire collection is an Australian Cardsleeve copy of Longview, with the wrong tracks on it!!
Around 1999 I became friends with Stuart Harvey from Reprise Records distro. in Australia.
He told me that when the Longview CD was first mastered, the company (disctronics) made a few discs with the wrong songs on them, which were then destroyed.
He had one saved and I begged him for it, and cos he wasn't a green day fan i bought it from him for $20!!
If you look at your Australian version of longview, the writing in the middle will say #2. Every normal copy of this CD says #2, except mine which says #1 (see my pictures) because it was the first batch that they made.
The songs on the CD are:
1. going to pasalaqua (live)* 2. f.o.d. (live) 3. christie road (live)*
* these songs were never released in Australia anywhere else!
Does anybody know of anyone else with a #1 copy? I really want to know if any of the others escaped destruction!!
