Hi guys, been a lurker on here for well over a year. It's with sad regret that I am now selling my entire Green Day vinyl collection. I have a young son and my wife is having trouble finding a job and we are now struggling so I'm selling the only thing that's worth anything! I have all sorts from coloured vinyl Slappy EPs to Post-it notes to the pink Sweet Children EP. I put them on eBay earlier today and have already removed clear and a yellow vinyl Slappy EPs as I was emailed with an offer within 30 minutes! Anyway, if you're interested then have a look on the link below, everything's starting at 99p with no reserve (and yes, I am willing to let them go at 99p if there's only 1 bid!) link: search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZmatumace

This might shed some light on why they went for so much... nothing wrong with it.. just advertising. They guys over at greendayauthority put it on the front page news column and below is the forum generated from that... Moreless they were just trying to help the guy out.. I cant complain I got the Clear and Yellow Slappy's. Ah, that explains it. Sorry for the misunderstanding. But hey, that shows that there really are some dumbass people out there. Some of those singles are on eBay all the time at one tenth of the price.... Haha.

that is pretty insane!
I guess it probably helped that a lot of people bidding were new to the world of collecting Green Day items, plus the want to help of course.
As for the anti BigFunction comment on the forum. that is kinda lame, there is nothing wrong with re-selling items after they have been bought and loved for a while. Investment is another aspect of collecting. that is exactly what the guy who just sold all these vinyls is discovering!
see ya!

Investment is another aspect of collecting. that is exactly what the guy who just sold all these vinyls is discovering! haha i just read it. what the person doesn't know about what i buy and sell is i'm trying to improve the quality of the items i have in my collection, i.e. replacing scratched CDs with better ones and fresher vinyl than what i have. i never used to care about condition and different variations of Cds and vinyl, but when I started running out of items that i still needed i began looking for the slight variances that all of us at greendaydiscography.com love! -mike
