Initial thoughts on Tre!?
I initially loved tracks 1-5 and 11-12 but the rest is having to grow on me, don't know why but they are.

Listened to this album alot now , really like it
Only The Forgotten is shit the rest are pretty good, X Kid is my fav and little boy named train
Dirty rotten bastards is like an encore of homecoming
All 3 albums are brilliant , there's a few dodgy tracks but overall i think theyve done well with them

i think the forgotten isnt bad... its just that the video sucks.. if id never seen it i wouldnt have any negative feelings toward the song..
id say tre is def the best of the three... still not quite up to par with the 90's green day.. but hey, fuck it.. what can ya do.. at least they didnt make 3 albums with u2.

Loving Brutal Love at the moment, really epic sound, one of my favorites of the trillogy.

The Forgotten is poor, id rather it was done with an acoustic than a piano, for me it doesn't fit in the album
What has grown on me tho is night life, the bass line is really good, the lady cobra lyrics are rubbish but other than that its ok

Like you say, a couple/few tracks I'm not quite so mad about but nothing major and it's great to have all this new GD

Tre is my favorite of the three. The only major issue I have is the the opening melody of Brutal Love sounds almost exactly like Sam Cooke's Bring it on Home (my favorite track by Sam Cooke).

if it's reminiscent of your favourite sam cooke song, then how is that an issue?

I thought I'd seen it on the Tre booklet but can't see it now. GD do credit Sam Cooke for the music from Bring it on Home being used for Brutal Love don't they? Or am I imagining it?
