Vinyl is the correct term, and yes my first language is Enlgish. I'm not being "pedantic" or harsh, I was being helpful.

Vinyl is the correct term, and yes my first language is Enlgish. I'm not being "pedantic" or harsh, I was being helpful. vinyl record - 1 vinyl vinyl records - more than one vinyl's, shortened version of above vinyls - applicable in science, ie - I have a collection of plastic & poly vinyls. Had too many arguments with collectors over this. Also you're from Canada, good English? You can't even pronounce the word about. Aboot.....?

lol, I am from Canada and I have never heard anyone pronounce About as Aboot. I don't know how that even got started but it is ridiculous. On the other hand we do say EH, a lot. lol

Wow, now you're ripping on Canadians. Well, sorry but we don't pronounce "about" that way, not me or anyone I know. Anyway, I'm done with this argument, I'm not on this forum to have conversations like this.
Thumbs up to Grant....and also to you nfr for being such a huge Green Day fan like everyone else on here.

I'm not a green day fan anymore. Just bugs me about this whole vinyl/vinyls thing. Where did you get your info? Wiki? Urban dictionary? Psh.

Dude, as I said I'm done with the convo. Too bad about not being a Green Day fan anymore though, I guess we can't love every band forever.

I can , although I can understand why nfr or anyone else might not like green day anymore ! Their new direction doesn't take anything away from how good their earlier sound was ! Best band I've ever come across
